Seneca Valley senior quarterback/defensive back Madi Barnyk will be on stage when the Pittsburgh Steelers make their first-round pick Thursday night outside Acrisure Stadium.

Madi Barnyk exemplifies what it means to be a leader for her teammates and her community. A senior for Seneca Valley Girls Flag Football, Madi’s character and work ethic elevates everyone around her. 

Madi Barnyk made her first varsity start at quarterback Tuesday night.  The Seneca Valley senior flag football player had been helping steer the Raiders for much longer.

Flag football is now an official PIAA sport, even though some high schools in Butler County have been training teams for the game for several years.

With the inaugural girls flag football season upon us, here are some of the top players from Mars, North Catholic and Seneca Valley to watch on the field this season, after speaking with their head coaches.
